The world premiere of Alek Nowak’s “Ahat ilī – Sister of Gods” opera prepared for libretto by Olga Tokarczuk

The Sacrum Profanum Festival has been one of the most interesting music events in Europe for years, whose main aim is to present the ambitious music of the 20th century. A unique spectacle was prepared for the finale of the 16th edition of the festival – an opera with a libretto written by Olga Tokarczuk, this year’s winner of one of the most important literary awards in the world – Man Booker International Prize. The libretto is based on her novel “Anna In w grobowcach świata”, whereas the music was composed by Alek Nowak. The opera will be directed by Pia Partum.  More info on sacrumprofanum.com
