KrakHack is the first Polish 24-hour hackathon that has been used to help create city development strategy.

Students, startups, NGOs, the mayor Jacek Majchrowski and Piotr Woźny from the Ministry of Digitization all took part in the event, held in the Kraków Technology Park, and the first place was given to the KRKbot project – an automated system to improve official procedures. Also discussed during the meeting were the potential of urban artesian wells, greenhouses on the building roofs and the involvement of people with disabilities and citizens of Kraków who do not speak Polish – all with the goal to improve the quality of life in Małopolska.
