“Małopolska as a destination” is a new campaign organized in cooperation with the Małopolska Tourist Organization. In 2022, it will promote the region in the British and German media.
The action, worth PLN 8 million, will be entirely financed by the European Union. – The situation of the tourism industry is hard and difficult all over Poland. Revenues in this industry decreased by 47.8 percent in 2020 as compared to the previous year – says Elżbieta Kantor, director of Department of Tourism of the City Council of Kraków. That is why the city council carries out extensive activities supporting the promotion of the region and the renaissance of tourist traffic effectively halted by the pandemic and lockdown. The current campaign “Be a tourist in your city – visit Kraków” will soon be subsidized with the amount of two million zlotys.
