The photographs show an expedition to Nanga Parbat from 1985, organized by Alpine Club in Kraków, led by Paweł Mularz.
Naga Parbat is the eight-thousander that is the ninth highest mountain in the world, located in the Himalayas. On July 13, 1985, Jerzy Kukuczka, Jerzy Carlos Carsolio, Andrzej Zyga Heinrich and Sławomir Łobodziński climbed the Southeast Pillar of Nanga Parbat. This was a breakthrough moment in the history of Himalayan mountaineering – for many years there had been unsuccessful attempts to climb NANGA PARBAT from various sides.
