The featured photos come from “From the Atlantic to the Persian Gulf” series that was created during trips to Portugal, Hungary, Georgia, Iran, Armenia and Turkey.

The Iranian photos were taken during Nowruz, a holiday celebrated at a time there are not many Western tourists in the country. During this two-week Persian New Year, majority of the nearly 80 million Iranians do not work, but instead become tourists, travel around the country and visit their relatives. The surrealistic moment captured on one of the Iranian roads resulted in the photo “Never say no to panda” that received an honourable mention at Neutral Density Awards 2016 (topic: Travel/People in the professional photographer category).
